K1 children PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Keat Hong Blk 413 were able to find out that not all substances dissolve in water

The children felt the texture of salt, sand, rice grains and sugar. And the described the texture using the terms such as soft, hard, smooth and rough.

The children put a spoonful of salt, sand, rice grains and sugar into the transparent containers

The children stirred these substances in each container of water.

All the children observed what happened. After observing they said, “Rice grains and sand do not dissolves in water. Salt and sugar dissolves in water.”
