After the storytelling on the book- “My Shadow”, “Can we see our shadows?” asked Madison.
Thereafter, children were given opportunity to play and explore their shadows on the interactive board.
While Nicole was merely just playing with the blocks, Madison went to her and said “This is not played like that. You must count and put the blocks of the correct number here.”
During this activity, children were encouraged to play with cooperation as one passes the ball to the child lying down, then the child lying down will lift the ball up with their legs and pass to the child standing behind. Finally, the last child that got the ball will throw it back to the first child to catch.
Ashton: “Deryl, put your grape here.” Children are working in cooperation and taking turns here to put their fruits on the plate so as to allow them to create the ABCABC patterning.

We learnt one-one correspondence counting by putting one banana into one plate and one spoon into one bowl.
