"My age is getting up there, but that doesn't mean my play has to diminish" - Brian Dawkins

Age doesn't limit our play. Anyone can be a playful learner as seen in the following photos shared by YWCA Child Development Centre Blk 531, in which their K1 children spent some time with the residents at Ren Ci Elderly Home.

Children and Ren Ci Elderly Home residents had an activity on throwing ball into the basket

to develop bilateral skills, hand-eye coordination and sequencing.

Children waited patiently for the resident to throw the ball into the box.

This allows them to stay focused and develop a good judgment on the direction of an oncoming ball.

Zarabelle transferred the ball in her spoon to the resident’s spoon.

This allowed Zarabelle to develop her fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination

Jia En felt accomplished that she was able to hold onto the ball without dropping

when receiving it from the residents. She developed a sense of achievement and confidence
