K1 children from PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Keat Hong Blk 287 sharing their various play activities that enhances their development.

Using water to stick crepe paper on to the blank sheet of paper, and children watch and observe how the crepe paper absorbs the water. They get to experiment on the laying down of crepe paper, either they tear it to different sizes or put them in any direction.

Children are drawing circles inside the squares, starting from inner smallest going outer biggest. They use different mediums for this activity such as paint, crayons and markers.

Term 2 Unit 6 is a lesson about weather and the K1 class has been talking about the different kinds of weather. During discussion it came up that their favorite weather is the sunny day. The teacher arranged an art activity in relation to sunny day, and children experimented on the colors red, orange and yellow to create their own sun.

Picture A & B. Children were given a paper with printed mittens on it. They were asked to design their own mittens in preparation for the March mass birthday party. The children had free reign use of the art materials found in the classroom, such as pencil, crayons, markers, glitters, glue, colored strips of paper, and scissors

The bean bag walk trains children to be patient as they walk along in a line understanding that others can move slower as they try to balance the bean bag on their heads.

Children in the K1 class are starting to learn the basics of jump rope. Here, the children are asked to go in pairs and jump over the rope using both their feet at the same time.

Pushing the bean bag using a rod focuses on the hand eye coordination of the children, and stresses on the importance of concentration during the game

Walking on stilts is one of the K1 class favorite toy to play with on outdoor games. They enjoy the challenge in balancing as they slowly cross the finish line without falling down.

The bean bag toss is game of cooperation between two partners to toss their bean bag to each other without it dropping on the floor. The first team to drop their bag loses the game, so work together!

This is a pair game where one child is blindfolded while the other child will lead him/her around the course. In this picture the boy is leading the girl to jump in and out of each hoop. The focal point of this activity is communication between the two partners.

Every child enjoys a time in the playground. Children can play together and manage problems on their own, such as waiting for their turn to play with the slide or to queue up to climb up the spiral steps. Teachers can just watch and observe the interactions of children with each other.
