Discussion about our Topic on Community Helpers with the K2 children.
Teacher: We are going to learn about community helpers next month. Who can share with me on the meaning of community helpers?
JH: Police officer, doctor.
Teacher: Good. They are people who help us in the community. Now who can tell me how we can learn about the different community helpers?
YX: Some of us can pretend to be the policeman and catch the bad guys.
CG: We can also put on the costume as we go around pretending to be a doctor and fireman.
M: Or we can go to the home corner and pretend to be a cook or chef?
R: I want to be a construction worker.
CL: Construction worker use a hammer.
T: Are you all ready to be community helpers?
Children: Yes! We are all ready to play as the community helpers.
*Children were able to brainstorm on the different types of play.
