K2 children form PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Canberra 468D seemed to be engrossed in their various 'Play' activities.

The children expressing their creativity through dramatising the story “Bug and Bear”. They made full use of their environment as they act out the story.

In the story, Bear tried to hide from Bug as she wanted to rest. Hence, ZX (Bear) hide under the table while A (Bug) thought that Bear is trying to play hide-and-seek.

Children exploring on colour as they tried out dip-dying using food colourings and napkins. They work with their fine motor skills as they folded the napkin multiple times, as well as their eye-hand coordination as they dip the folded napkins into the food colourings.

Y is practising on her phonological awareness as she work with the teacher-made materials.

A few K2 children were playing with LEGO at construction centre during learning centre time. The children were using 3 base plate and connected them to build a structure.

MK: *reach over to take bed and reposition it at another section* The beds shouldn't be here!

Teacher: *overhead the comment and look over at the LEGO structure* Are you building a house?

MK: No. School!

Teacher: School?

MK: Ya.

Teacher: Why are there beds in school?

Y: *exasperating tone* Childcare, teacher. Childcare!

*The children continued to build their school which include outdoor playground, napping area with toilet and a school bus.*
