PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Canberra Blk 468D Kindergarten 1 children show us how Dramatic Play and Block Play can enhance their Social, Emotional, Language and Literacy skills while having fun.

"Look! We combined the boards so that we can have a bigger land to build on. The red one has the zoo and now we are making the playground where the little children can play and then if you climb to the top, you can see the animals!".

"We are making an amusement park! During the holidays I went to Lego City with my family and now we are making a pretend one." The boy is holding what he calls the "round and round machine" and the girl is fixing the gates so that the "People can come in properly and not walk out."

The children were playing at the dramatic corner. They said they are a family at home. They were having dinner together at the table. The children portrayed thoughtfulness for one another as they offered one another food.

During their LEGO project, the children were working in a group to build something. They said that they were making homes in a neighbourhood for their classmates with different heights. They were describing which house belongs to which peer.
